Bio
Laura Holloway focuses her practice on people who have been injured due to the negligence of others and workers who are injured on the job. She fights the insurance companies to get the best outcome for her clients so they can solely focus on recovering from their injuries.
Laura grew up in Long Beach, IN. She attended the University of Arizona where she received her undergraduate degree in Political Science with an emphasis on Law & Public Policy. Laura has always had a passion to help people in their most vulnerable times and to make a positive impact on people’s lives. After working as a Guardian ad Litem for a few years, Laura pursued her passion to help people by becoming an attorney and graduating from the Charleston School of Law.
While a law student, Laura continued her passion for service to others by serving as a class Senator and then the President of the Student Bar Association. She navigated several issues such as COVID response, dean search, and transparency to the student body and administration. She was also a student member of the James L. Petigru Inn of Court, The Forensic Club, Women in the Law, and Phi Delta Phi, Legal Honor Society. In addition to school and extracurriculars, Laura clerked for the Public Defender’s Office in Berkeley County and the Ninth Circuit Solicitor’s Office in Charleston County. During her clerkship, she practiced DUI pleas in magistrate court under the supervision of an Assistant Solicitor.
Laura became interested in personal injury and workers’ compensation during her last year of law school where she took pre-trial litigation and workers’ compensation courses. Laura received the CALI Award for Excellence in Workers’ Compensation. Laura’s law school experience honed her time-management skills, trial advocacy, and research and writing skills which she applies in her everyday practice of law.
In her spare time, Laura enjoys spending time outside in Charleston’s beautiful weather playing tennis, golf, or walking her husky, Tara Belle.
